How to do a Gaff Release! After years of ongoing research out of Bamfield it has become apparent that the Gaff Release is the least impactful form of releasing sport caught salmon. In this video, Brendan discusses the method with Martin Paish from the Sport Fishing Institute of British Columbia and teaches you how he does the gaff release for fish that are not being retained.
