Winter 2009
To: Our Valued Customers,
In 2009 over 90% of our guests went home with their limit of 8 salmon and 2 halibut. The action was incredible! The ideal location of Joe’s Lodge allows us to be at Bailey Point in 5 minutes for the morning hot Coho bite. The afternoon and evening bite often finds us hunting big Chinook 20 minutes from the lodge at the world famous gap. We are the only lodge on the North side of Hakai Pass which gives us the best access to these more isolated fishing hotspots including spectacular Spyder Island. Location Location Location!!!
Go with the guys who put Hakai on the map for good times and good fishing!! 2010 is going to be one of those unique year’s when the Chinook will be migrating through Hakai Pass in the 4th, 5th and 6th year cycles of their lives. That means lots of big Chinook this year. The location of our floating lodge, customized 17 ft. Whaler boats and over 25 years of experience fishing Hakai Pass provides our guest the very best opportunity to be in the right place at the right time to catch our world class Coho, huge Chinook, and amazing bottom fishing!! IT’S GONNA BE GOOD!! And we’ll be right in the middle of the action.
Hope to see you in the pass during our 2010 season!

(As reported July 23, 2009)
This season is off to an AWESOME start, better than early season predictions. BAIT IS EVERYWHERE, guests are limiting on multiple species. The biggest King so far is 41#'s and we have seen numerous Coho in the high teens already. Pinks are abundant, Halibut & bottom fishing in general has been fantastic! Please feel free to call Doug at 888-452-8822 or email doug@joessalmonlodge.com for fishing report updates and/or to take advantage of the last minute deals he may have for you!!!
